Adoption Agreement

Every kitten we raise is part of our extended family. This agreement reflects our dedication to their well-being and helps ensure that both you and your new kitten start your life together with confidence and care.

Health Guarantee

The kitten or cat will be sold in good health at the time of transfer. The animal has been examined by a licensed veterinarian and is free from contagious or life-threatening diseases to the best of the breeder’s knowledge. A record of vaccinations and veterinary care will be provided to the buyer upon pickup or delivery.

The buyer has 48 hours (2 business days) from the time of possession to have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian. If the veterinarian determines that the kitten is ill or unfit for sale (excluding minor or treatable conditions such as parasites or stress-related issues), the buyer must notify the breeder immediately and provide a written report from the examining veterinarian. If verified, the breeder agrees to either:

  • Replace the kitten with one of equal value when available, or

  • Refund the purchase price, at the breeder’s discretion.

Failure to obtain a vet exam within the specified timeframe voids this health guarantee.

Genetic & Congenital Conditions

The breeder guarantees the kitten against serious congenital or hereditary defects that would significantly impact its quality of life for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of birth.

If such a condition is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within this warranty period, and the breeder is notified in writing within two (2) weeks of diagnosis, the breeder will:

  • Offer a replacement kitten of equal quality when one becomes available, or

  • Provide another resolution at the breeder’s discretion.

The breeder may require a second veterinary opinion at the breeder’s expense to confirm the diagnosis.
This warranty applies to congenital or genetic causes only and excludes infectious diseases such as FeLV, FIV, or FIP, as well as conditions resulting from injury, neglect, or improper care.

Spay/Neuter & Registration

If purchased as a pet, registration papers (Breeder Slip) for TICA registration will be provided only after the buyer submits proof of spay or neuter, verified by a licensed veterinarian. Acceptable proof includes a spay/neuter certificate or a veterinary invoice.

If the kitten is sold with breeding rights, the buyer agrees to follow ethical breeding practices consistent with TICA standards and to maintain proper health care for any offspring produced.

General Terms

  • The breeder is not responsible for any veterinary costs incurred after the kitten leaves their care.

  • The buyer agrees to provide proper nutrition, regular veterinary care, vaccinations, and a safe indoor environment.

  • This agreement applies only to the original buyer and is non-transferable.
